I arrived after 7 PM to check in, only to be told that the prepaid room I had booked for four nights was not available. There aren't many other options around, so I'm extremely frustrated. On top of that, they only refund 75% of your money!

It was the only pub open in the area during the early evening, but unfortunately, they didn't have any food available, which was disappointing.

The bar staff could use some improvement. When we walked in, the bartender was on her phone and didn't acknowledge us at all. We almost left, but then the chef came to the door, so I asked him if they served food. He confirmed that they did, so we went back inside. The bartender finally took our food order, but the chef had to check the register to see what we had ordered. On the bright side, the food was good. We also saw a group of people come in and quickly leave again, presumably because they were unaware that food was being served.

Disappointed, was looking for a nice home cooked food type of pub and got what im pretty sure was oven chips out of a bag and a youngs fish fillet in batter. Hoped for fresh cooked fish and chips. Staff were good and food was hot and served quickly.
