Café Zupas - Edina

Great suppensalat and sandwich shop. we all have our favorites here, but I go to the nuts about berries salat. for sandwiches I usually go for brisket or pulled pork and for the suppe you can not go wrong with the cauliflower bisque, but the lobsterbisque is sometimes a beautiful alternative.

I wanted to write about them the super service of employees, and how helpful kris was harmer. he knew exactly how to help me in my order. kris explained the menu and offered us a catering service for future needs. Thank you. kris harmer for being so nice

Great service and good value. only nits are that my sandwich, turkey avocado club, was more brot than fill. they also gave me a black version of the salat I ordered, chipotle chicken ranch, but it was still delicious and fill.

Patrick 's Bakery Cafe is in the same strip mall and is 1000% better in every respect than Zupas. No comparison really. The only reason we ended up at Zupas is that Patrick 's was packed and we didn 't feel like catching COVID. Zupas was (unsurprisingly pretty quiet. Zupas is a profoundly depressing place. It 's overtly corporate and unpleasantly sterile. The people working there ... they 've had their life force beaten out of them. You can see it in their dead eyes and blank expressions. The food, although perfectly edible, is similarly lifeless. I wouldn 't go so far as to say it 's bad . It tastes okay. It just doesn 't taste particularly real. It 's food by committee. How much time did marketing and product development spend fussing over the ingredients of my crab avocado melt and clam chowder? And why so much celery? Both my soup and sandwich were loaded with the stuff. (Answer: Because celery is a cheap way to add volume and color. Unless you 've already had your life force forcibly removed by corporate America then by all means skip this place.
