Deacon Brodie's Tavern

I recently dined at a restaurant and was disappointed with the experience. Many menu items were unavailable, including the fish and chips we wanted to order. Two members of our group settled for the Balmoral chicken, which was served with uncooked broccoli, cold carrots, and mediocre chicken. When we complained about the vegetables, we were offered to order something else or more vegetables, but we declined as the rest of the party found their food to be mediocre as well. After waiting 40 minutes for a table and another 40 minutes for our food, we were not impressed. Additionally, we witnessed staff eating food with their hands, which was unhygienic. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

Deacon Brodie is a delightful pub with a cozy atmosphere, rich history, and welcoming ambiance. Located on the Royal Mile Road, just a brief walk from Edinburgh Castle, this pub exudes a sense of nostalgia and charm. Take a seat, soak in the historic surroundings, and enjoy a pint!

Fab cozy pub with great history attached . Decent pint of Guinness as well very busy but managed to grab a table for 6 loved it x

Tradtional pub food. Great food for good prices. Got a table for 3 on a Saturday at 5pm with out booking but only just. Would recommend.

We loved popping into this pub while staying along the RM. It has a very local, lively feel. Decor felt like a pub you'd see in Central London
