Írjon visszajelzéstWe visited cellar door during a weeking in edinburgh and have sampled both her meat and vegetarian six-course taste menu. it was delicious! our waitress nicola told us about each cursor and we enjoyed recommending everyone with the wine tastings. she made the seventh experience even more pleasant. would definitely recommend and return for more.
We decided to visit this restaurant despite mixed reviews as we wanted to visit a Scottish restaurant. we chose the 6 cursor tasting and at £49 we were very disappointed. to start with 1 of the 6 courses is a canapé, which is only 1 bit (mushroom pate one a scottish oatcake) another of the 6 courses is a "Palat Cleaner", which is a set cheese custard and pickled, I would never classify this as a palate cleaner and second would never expect to be 1 of the 6 courses. if they ask, it was terrible. there were 2 courses we really enjoyed and if we had realized how bad the 6 cursor menu would have been, perhaps the choice of the al a kist had been a better idea. the personal was nice to give so 2 stars, but this is not a place for anyone who comes to think of a real taste of Scotland or a beautiful meal to it. very disappointed.
Restaurant has a warm atmosphere, is clean and feels very welcoming. the personal is very friendly and the service is second place. the owner and the manager take care of the level of service they offer, as it is faultless. nice eating too!
I can't blame this restaurant. from beginning to end it was a joy. we visited friends of uni and had a table for six of us booked. we had to raise our number to eight, in the last minute; fat chance on a Saturday...Night we thought. it was not a problem for the restaurant. the service was impeccable and there was no feeling to be rushed or forgotten. that eat is the star of the show. the menu taste of scotland is a bargain; a pretty elaborate mix of dressing over 6 courses (although I eat happy more the price (at £49) is incredible. we have paid much more than that in michelin in stars in yorkshire. the wine list is small but offers a solid selection of wines from all over the world. the aussie taxi sauv is beautiful and works well with all dressed on the menu. we stayed far too long in the evening (sorry youngs) and I have no doubt that personal wanted to throw us away, but they were charming and well modest and did not beat any eyelids when the wee looted. geduld the saints! we are going back to edinburgh for the festival, so will definitely return. we can't wait.
I visited this beautiful cosy Scottish restaurant on Friday. I had never been before so didn’t know what to expect. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing and all Scottish. We went for the tasting menu and the flavour and presentation were beautiful. Some dishes...we had never tried before. If you go here you need to try the tasting menu as it’s unreal. The next thing to make our visit so good was the service. We were served by a man and woman who’s service was second to none. We felt like part of the family. They couldn’t do enough for us. They gave us recommendations to compliment the food. Had lovely little conversations when we wanted and recommended some fun things to do afterwards. I will definitely be returning not just for the incredible food but the impeccable personal service.
