The Pastry Section - Edinburgh, City of

While walking along GJ street, we stumbled upon this restaurant and bought some delicious treats to take home. We tried the pumpkin cream cheese swirl, orange marble slice, and raspberry frangipani tart - all were super fresh and tasty!

The food at this restaurant is like a work of art- almost too beautiful to eat. However, once you take a bite, you'll understand why there was a line down the street to try it. I tried the Honeymoon dessert, which was like the best millionaires shortbread with a delicious coconut base. My partner had the passion fruit meringue tart, which was equally amazing. The prices were very reasonable considering the skill and effort put into creating these masterpieces. Definitely worth a visit.

A hidden treasure in Stockbridge! The cake selection is fantastic, both in appearance and taste. They also offer a good variety of hot drinks. The service is friendly, helpful, and efficient. Well done, Team Pastry Section!

This is my go to cafe in Stockbridge. I justify going multiple times a week. I normally get a brownie and a flat white and they are both amazing. Can not recommend enough.

The Pastry Section has to serve the very best cakes in Edinburgh, and the best gluten free cakes I've ever eaten anywhere! Always a good selection so coeliacs are well catered for. Their covid set up is great, with the cake selection in the window and a serving window very safe and efficient. The staff are always friendly and kind. A perfect treat on a glum day or a lovely reward or celebration. Stockbridge is a great, vibrant part of Edinburgh, so well worth a visit.
