Smokey's Midnight Express - Edmond

Okay, I promised an update. The owner called me the next day to apologize and explained their situation as a family-owned restaurant. He was very polite and clearly cares about his business and its reputation, which I really appreciate. He offered me a discounted meal, which I happily accepted. The picture you see is all that’s left of my chicken and waffles with fried shrimp. I'm especially glad I saved the chicken for last. Despite being delivered, the chicken had a nice crunch all around, with just the right amount of seasoning. The waffles were crispy on the outside and warm on the inside—nothing was soggy, which is often the case with delivered breaded food. The syrup served with it was the highlight for dipping! As for the shrimp, it was fantastic, perfectly spiced, and paired wonderfully with the accompanying sauce. I’m really pleased with my meal and have decided to make this my go-to for Sunday night delivery. I can't wait to try more from the menu. I just discovered Smokey's Midnight Express tonight through Google, and I’m so glad I did! They offer real food made locally by genuine people, delivered right to your door—what more could you ask for? I was definitely satisfied with my order! The Smokey's Kickin Chicken Sandwich was absolutely fantastic; it was lightly battered and perfectly seasoned. I chose the chipotle ranch instead of the spicier habanero aioli. The baked mac and cheese will be my lunch for tomorrow, but I couldn't resist trying it tonight. It was delicious, and just look at that cheese! I’m also excited to try my caramel apple mix. Oh, and they delivered ice cream to me, and it was still cold—not melted at all! I can't wait to order from this place again!

The food was Magnificent packed with flavor and cooked with lots of love. Alex the cook showed excellent customer service. He politely helped me pick out my purchase and cooked my order expeditiously and it tasted superb good food fast and prepared with careful consideration this is definitely a great spot for a quick delicious bite to eat and they deliver and they have an app it's my pick for a delicious fixxxx

I 'm always looking for local options vs. the big chain places. Tonight I had a desire for takeout but it 's much too late for many of the old standards. Instead of running for the border to ring that bell, I opted to make a detour. I parked my happy self right in front and proceeded to order online. After checking in, they said they would bring it out and they did so right on time. Yes it took a bit but that 's because there is some kind of crazy genius cooking for them that scrutinizes the details that actually matter. The words out of my mouth when opening up all the food was, verbatim and out loud: 'Are you kidding me? ' It seems that was the theme for the entire meal. Flavors were excellent. The presentation for a takeout container made it look like the food was the focus and they were proud of it. Similar to how an artist is proud of their work. I could almost guarantee if I measured those grill marks from my burger, they would have perfect symmetry. This and the other attention to details is why this place needs to remain a late night institution.
