Co Do Hue Vietnamese Cuisine - Edmonton

I had lunch here recently with two friends. It was pretty busy when we arrived at 1230 on a Friday, but it was worth the 20-minute waiting time. I had the combo 2 with rice. All flavors of meat were delicious. This combo came with grilled beef, grilled chicken and grilled shrimps. It also included a small bowl of miraculous soup. The soup had a very tasty broth and a few sommes for a small bowl. It also included two spring rollers. The spring rolls were full of meat and vegetables and very tasty. Looking at the tables around us, the crispy chicken wings seem very popular. The service was friendly and fast.

We frequently order from this restaurant and they never fail to impress! The noodles and soups are excellent, and the spicy crispy chicken wings are delicious!

The portion size is larger than all other Vietnamese restaurants and the price is somewhat cheaper. If you come in, go to the front counter to order. Then grab your water, utensils, your sauces, etc. If you sit down and bring your food to your table. I found the food is pretty good, but the soup is not so hot.... I like to cook it hot....so I think for others, the temptation of the Pho is okay. I'll order Vermicelli next time. I also found that the pig is very hard and hard to swallow for my special cattle noodle soup. I'm going back.

This Vietnamese restaurant is quite basic in terms of service. Customers need to order at the counter, grab their own utensils, pour their own water, and get their own sauces. However, the food is brought to your table and they will refill your water. Seating is limited so be prepared to wait at times or opt for takeout. The spring rolls are delicious and the noodle soup is a generous portion. In my opinion, the soup could be hotter as I prefer it piping hot. The Vietnamese coffee is overly sweet for my taste, so I may try the Vermicelli dish next time.

We stopped in after our son's lacrosse game for a quick bite. People are very friendly and greeted us warmly. There is limited seating but they also seemed to be doing a brisk take out business. They seemed quite confused bringing out the orders to...the tables. The food arrived and it was fine, but not great. Portions were fine. There is nothing terrible about this place but nothing special either.
