El Coqui - El Paso

I absolutely love the authentic homemade food from this restaurant! The owner is incredibly kind, and the portion sizes are not just delicious but also massive—seriously, they’re HUGE. The prices are fantastic for the amount of food you receive. On a weekend, he managed to prepare a whole dish of Arroz that serves 12 in just about an hour! If you’re not accustomed to dining at small, cozy, and simple places, I urge you to give El Coqui a chance. It’s truly a hidden gem in El Paso.

The owner generously offered us samples of the main dishes. The portion sizes are impressive—definitely enough for two people! While the prices are on the higher side, the quantity and quality of the food make it worthwhile. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the rice and beans, and the pernil was incredibly juicy. The restaurant was a bit warm, but it wasn't too uncomfortable. Overall, it was a great experience!

I havent tried puerto rican food before, but i am very very happy i trued it here! Very good! anytime i am in the area i always stop by!
