Sushi Itto - El Paso

Food was excellent! The rice cakes salmon tostadas were delicious appetizers. We also ordered the spicy udon noodles three sushi rolls, plus the matcha churros for dessert. We definitely went overboard had to take some home but we wanted to taste everything. Compliments to the chef!! Our server was also great, friendly quick. The only issue we had was that I reserved a table for two when we arrived, the hostess sat us at the bar. I asked if there were no tables available (I saw two open) but she said they were reserved. When our server introduced himself, I mentioned to him that my reservation was for a table he promptly sat us at one of the open ones I originally saw. Overall, it was a great experience with a small inconvenience. The food alone is definitely worth a visit though! Cocktails were lovely too.

There appeared to be only 1 waiter, he got orders wrong. I ordered tea it was water. The food was tasteless. What happened to the real Japanese food, we won’t be back. The menu changed but never updated it

Oddly, nearly every sushi roll had cream cheese. However, the restaurant gladly substituted other ingredients for the cream cheese.

Food and service were great. The drinks were also very good.

The sushi was not great maybe a step above grocery store deli carry out. The fish did not seem fresh or of high quality, and the rice was somewhat stale. You are definitely paying a premium for location and ambience, which was louder than anticipated. Service was generally slow, but attentive and helpful when present.
