Kabob Palace Elk Grove

I worked at this restaurant, but when Covid worsened, they let me go with the promise of bringing me back. However, they ended up hiring new people to replace me, and I lost my job. The owner's father, Omar, has issues with anger, and the family and some of the other staff displayed racist behavior. They would pray on the carpet in the kitchen, and when I left behind items that needed to be discarded, they treated me like I was lazy. The tomato slicers were broken, and I accidentally cut my finger because I had to apply weird pressure to cut the tomatoes. They didn’t seem to care and still gave it to me. Overall, the service was terrible, and the environment was toxic.

I had never tried Afghan cuisine before and initially thought it was just another Mediterranean restaurant. However, I was truly impressed by the wonderful aromas. My wife and I ordered lamb kebabs, hummus, and naan. The Basmati rice was the best I've ever had, the hummus was exceptional, and the lamb was outstanding. It was so delicious on Tuesday that I chose this place to celebrate my birthday on Thursday! I also tasted a friend's lamb dish and was absolutely blown away. I really love the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Great service and fantastic food!

The food was as good as ever, but the service has declined a bit. Initially, they provided water in a jar with glasses, but now we had to purchase water, and the glasses were disposable plastic.

The lamb gyro is probably frozen meat strips, it is not authentic. I give him a 3, because this is all I had, but Kabob Gyro Grill has a road over has real flesh and amazing pommes. Your sauces were good, but you think I'm staying at the other place.

We came here with a rather large party size (8 people). They were able to accommodate us with no notice, and they were very friendly with great service! The food was incredible and at a great price. It definitely hit the spot for what we were craving and would recommend this place!
