Fiddlesticks Cafe - Elkhorn

I don't get all the good reviews. My husband and I decided to try this place based on them. I had the corned beef hash benedict which was soggy hash browns (tasted like rice) mixed with very little, tiny square pieces of some meat which was not corned beef. It was not reddish but brownish, based on my husbands omelet it may have been ham. The eggs were good but drowned in the holandaise sauce which was canned and horrible. No toast or bread or side salad like on some one else's photos on this site. If you don't have corned beef don't fake it. Tell them to order something else. I was scared I was eating someone else's left overs and would not even give it to my dog sitting in the car for fear of making him sick. Waitress was too good to be working there.

We stopped in for a bite on our way to Kenosha and were so happy we did! They serve breakfast all day plus lunch. There were so many delicious things to choose from! The fresh made donuts were out of this world as was the Bananas Foster Waffle. Everything is made from scratch. Julie our server was friendly and had a quick wit. Excellent experience. Hope we can find an excuse to head there again!

We went based off Yelp reviews. There was a sign posted saying they were short staffed, one waitress was working the entire restaurant, including bussing the tables. Due to this the wait was quite long to order and be served, but to no fault of the solo employee. That being said the food was great. We had the soufflé and a standard breakfast with eggs/hash browns. Everything was cooked as ordered and all the menu options sounded great and prices reasonable for food. Would go back again.

My wife and I went here for a date night. We really loved the place, the whole vibe, and the owner/chef. The food was cooked perfectly and we plan to comeback here more.

Meh. Stopped here with some friends who were in town to ski. The menu was pretty limited, not really many options other than salad if you're a vegetarian. W I ordered the loaded fries, curds, salad, and the chicken pasta. The fries were delicious and were definitely the winner. The curds and salad tasted like someone forgot they already added salt, and decided to double the amount. The pasta dish was pretty good but definitely not worth $20. Overall this place wasn't a hit for me. Others in our party had the steaks and seemed to be content, however, did mention that they were undercooked and a bit pinker than they'd expected. If you're looking for a nicer sit down dinner in Elkhorn, this will suffice. I'd say if the salt level wasn't as intense, I'd be open to giving them another shot.
