Gasthaus Föhrenhof - Ellmau

I had booked by phone but they didn’t have my reservation. I had a table right at the entrance. Windy. Noisy. No cutlery like others. Pffff

We enjoyed our dinner immensely. Lamp chops cooked to perfection and the vegetable dishes were great as well. No overcooked vegetables! :) Would certainly return to this restaurant.

Not being too hungry and it was also late we decided to share a dish Spetzle with mushrooms which was very tasty. The lady owner was welcoming and friendly but the waiter treated us without respect. Apparently one dish and two glasses of wine were not worth his efforts. It is a pity as otherwise the place was well appointed and we would have returned again during our stay in Ellmau.

Great local food , they have a very good wine list in a very nice setting with great service. Always a pleasure to visit . Highly recommended
