Elmauer Alm

Since May 2015, the Elmauer Alm has been revived in the old glory thanks to the G7 summit, all black buildings have been rebuilt and the Terasse has been renovated, so next to the Terasse there is only a cozy guest room dominated by a large central wood stove. The Elmauer Alm belongs to the Schlosshotel Elmau and is also operated by this, which is easy to see on the map, happy, with the exception of exceptions, but not at the prices, but at the one or other speciality on which Alm is already offered a luxury backboard with a half bottle of champagne for 50 euros? Apart from these few escapes, the prices are within the scope and you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Terasse in beautiful weather. And there are many Karwendel and Wetterstein impress with their steep rock walls and in almost every direction there is a wonderful distance and a narrow view! At a small window on the side of the Alm ordered and at an early hour (11.30 a.m.) there was not much going on so that we had our order very quickly on the table. Also later, when the urge became bigger, the 3 employees who served the Alm this day quickly and friendly to the guests. Our liver cheese with potato salad was completely good, the liver cheese was well browned and round in taste, even on the potato salad there were no reviews. A solid court with which we were very satisfied. As a small forearm we ordered an obazten, which was beautiful and creamy and came nicely on a wooden board with a spicy crush that was so fresh and reluctant that it was probably delivered directly from the hotel bakery ; At the end we still enjoyed a oat of coffee and did not feel bad when the oats were delivered in the form of a French press at a price for the oat of 2.80 a novelum, which I have not seen yet, tasted the coffee again so well. The audience is mixed with a high proportion of the guests of the two luxury hotels here in the Elmauertal. The mood is relaxed and until children's screams are quieter and more cozy. Finally, you should mention that the Alm can only be reached on foot, either from the Kranzbach or from the Schloss Elmau guide you here in a short 3/4 hour beautiful hiking trails above. Another alternative is the high road from Eckbauer over the ski stadium in Garmisch. A beautiful piece of Bavaria that we will like to visit again!

The Alm is really a great place. In summer and winter... worth a visit again and again! In summer you can sit on the large terrace and enjoy the wonderful view The staff is very friendly and always accommodating. The selection of dishes and drinks is very good. And it's always delicious

Very tasty and cozy, inside and outside. Huge, but clean and I guess in winter the cottage burns.... Food was really great and also fast at the table and this on a big map. A little smile would make the employees good, even if they were otherwise friendly.

Right at the parking lot. Fast service, run a bit away... The food comes quickly and tastes. Can be recommended

Wildgulasch I recommend in August as a guest in the Ellmauer Alm and enjoyed our stay very much. My Wildgulasch with Spätzle was very tasty and there was absolutely nothing to complain about in the surroundings and service in the Ellmauer Alm.
