Ume - Elmbridge

I just had a meal at Ume restaurant and it was disappointing. The chicken balls were all dough and the seaweed was soggy. The chips were limp and not good. It cost £43 and was a total rip off. I would recommend avoiding this place.

It is quite challenging to provide a positive review, as our visit coincided with the last night of Tier 3 before transitioning into Tier 4 restrictions. However, the staff were delightful, and the food was fantastic.

This Chinese restaurant is probably the best in the Surbiton Claygate area. The food is always fresh, ordering over the phone is simple, and the staff are friendly. While the prices are on the higher side for a takeaway, the quality and location make it worth it. I highly recommend the chicken curry and my wife loves the crispy duck rolls.
