Elroy Family Resturant

Definitely recommend stopping by this place if you’re ever in the area! We were in town visiting family for the week so we ended up going to the Eatery a few times which allowed us the opportunity to try out several of their dishes! -Biscuits and gravy -Pizza -Onion Rings -Fried Pickles -Smoked Ribs with homemade baked beans and fries -Chocolate Chip pancakes -Prime Rib Breakfast Skillet All of the food was delicious, it arrived quickly and fresh. The staff was very friendly and on top of their game making sure drinks stayed filled and caring for a restaurant full with other customers. The owners even came out from the kitchen from time to time to interact with their customers which was great to see! The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean which is a huge point in my book!

Very uncomfortable feeling if you are not a local. We walked in not knowing you could seat yourself and the staff walked past us several times without acknowledging us. When I finally asked if we could seat ourselves she replied “yes, that’s what everyone does”. The food was terrible and not once did the waitress come back to ask if we needed a refill on coffee or how we were doing. We got done eating and sat at the booth for over 15 minutes waiting for the bill. I got up and asked her about the bill and she said “you come up to us for the bill and to pay, the locals know that”. It truly was one of the worst experiences ever.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Elroys and felt compelled to share my review. My husband and I enjoy exploring non-chain diners and restaurants, but Elroys did not live up to our expectations. We stopped for breakfast based on good ratings but were met with subpar service. The waitress ignored us as we walked in, and we had to ask a trainee where to sit. The food was mediocre, with my eggs Benedict being drowned in sauce and served on an under-toasted English muffin. The ham was thin, and the hash browns were not crispy as requested. After finishing our meal, we had to ask for the bill as the waitress did not check on us. We were informed that we needed to pay at the counter, which left us feeling unwelcome as non-locals. Overall, we were disappointed by the lack of hospitality and will not be returning to Elroys. There are plenty of other small diners that are more welcoming and cater to all customers equally.

I always choose the biscuits and gravy when I eat at this restaurant. The rich and filling gravy always satisfies my hunger. The atmosphere is always friendly and the music playlist is fantastic. Keep up the great work! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
