Insula - Ely

Absolutely brilliant. Each dish served was an absolute treat. I would highly recommend the goat cheese appetizer and would provide a photo but we ate it all before I got a chance. I left my hat and they were kind enough to keep it in the back for me until I came back to get it the next day. Five stars easy.

The food and atmosphere here were excellent. The drinks were made well and strong. The Flatbread was very large. The Bahn mi sandwich was good though it had a lot more pork than veggies. The bison burger was delicious. Garlic aoili sauce was really good but surprisingly, so was the ketchup! The ketchup tasted very fresh like it was made in house.

Our food was very good, the service was a little slow bringing our food out, by time we finally got our salads, our food came out 5 mins later after 45 min wait, then we had salad, our entree and drinks all at a small, small table, it seemed like it was a joke at one point, we looked for cameras, but it wasn't a prank, infact they forgot about our order and then had it all brought out at once which was kinda comical, but my boss, who was paying and tipping mind you, wasn't very thrilled. I on the other hand realize that people makes mistakes and we got forgotten, not a big deal, once they realized we weren't very happy campers, they stepped it up and made sure the rest of our stay was pleasant and thats why I'm giving them this review and 3 stars.

My favorite restaurant in Ely. Love the Buffalo burger. Gluten free options!
