Placida Grill - Englewood

Great experience. Had escargot and fried green tomatoes appetizers. Both outstanding. Tomatoes were covered with a mixture of bacon and crumbled goat cheese and presented on a rectangular plate. Wife had Killer Shrimp sautéed in a spicy Thai curry. Grilled ribeye was done to perfection. Service was outstanding with an abundant wait staff. Prices are in line with similar restaurants in the area.

Literally some of the best food I've ever had! The Skirt Steak just melts in your mouth like butter. Treat yourself to some amazing pie too. The Boca Banana will blow your mind! Can't wait to eat there again...

We enjoyed the fresh grouper and skirt steak! Both were delicious and the grouper was so fresh! Had to have the fried green tomatoes because they are the best! Last but not least, the bread served with dinner is so crispy and good! It’s hard not to eat it all, but try not to fill up too much because all the food is so good! Definitely going back!

I've been here several times, both at their current and their old location years ago. The food is always very consistently good, and the menu changes occasionally with very good specials. Last night we had chicken scampi, salmon tostada stack, the killer shrimp, and the NY strip, as well as the fried green tomatoes and a BLT salad x2. Everything was so good, with amazing flavor. The fried green tomatoes weren't the best I've ever had, but the bacon jam was a new twist. Would definitely recommend the jalapeno butter cornbread as an appetizer as well!! The only caveat was that when the restaurant is very busy, it tends to get extremely noisy. Come during off-peak times for a quieter experience.

The food is always delicious, the wait staff are very friendly and always smiling, and the prices are very reasonable. The El Gordo Burrito is HUGE and delicious! You're gonna love this place!
