Trattoria Alpina - ERBA

After a trekking drive, you will, weather permitting, enjoy a great view over Erba and some of the lakes of this area ,Tables in good season are placed outsideand this will allow you to have wonderful landscape in front of your eyes, even better at sunset for dinner. Talking about food, my excitation quickly vanishes, as there is a sort of mediocrity running all over the menu, that is far away from innovation or adaptations to new healthier way of dining. Polenta is everywhere, mixed grilled meat just a point above decency, service though smiling, not too efficient . Some people will love this type of places, for me this is just average food masked as traditional

The Ligorio family knows how to cook magnificent Italian dishes and welcome you as a part of their family a lost art in today's hectic world of smart phones, Internet, and traffic. Make your way up a winding road through the woods, to the side of a mountain and you find the trattoria, with breathtaking views of the valley floor far below. Seriously, this is one of my favorite places on earth a little known gem in Northern Italy. Don't miss it!

It's a family enterprise and they were very friendly and courteous to us. The food is excelled a nice wine selection moderate prices and I just can recommend.

Il ristorante è favoloso, accogliente e si mangia bene con tutti i prodotti freschi, tutti buoni e anche i prezzi sono abbastanza buoni, con la vista panoramica dalla terrazza del ristorante si vede tutta la città di Erba e poi è il posto perfetto per mangiare prima di visitare il Buco della Grotta del Piombo. Le specialità di cinghiale e vegetariane sono deliziose e per dessert ci sono torte fatte in casa e gelato. Anche i vini non sono male. Il ristorante ha il suo parcheggio.

Il rapporto qualità prezzo è abbastanza buono.. la location è molto rustica.
