Had a great meal this week with my partner! Caitlin and the team were super friendly and very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back, especially with the great discounts on the app!

A great place to visit and a good place to have a meal at Trent Lock Public House.

Hadn't been here for about 25 years. Stopped for some lunch and had the steak sandwich. Lovely meal. Nice outdoor seating with shade.

Starting with the good . Food was good, well above average for a chain establishment. Chef can clearly cook, rather than be well versed in operating the microwave as is so often the case with the genre these days. The not so good. Our table (of 6) had four meals delivered together then nothing. Staff then waited on another table. I had to call our waiter and eventually the missing meal appeared, though one came with the incorrect potato dish. I ordered a bottle of Gavi, the bottle delivered was Pinot Grigio. Do the bar staff check before despatching bottles to table? To his credit the head waiter did apologise for the multiple faux pas and offered a discount from the bill. I suggest some staff training is required, particularly regarding coordination between kitchen, food and bar since an establishment such this serving decent food shouldn 't let itself down with poor service.
