Stonehouse Lounge - Escanaba

The service was very good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My steak was cooked perfectly. My husband really enjoyed his grouper entree. We both loved the warm spinach salad. Excellent food at a reasonable price. Wish they had a gluten sensitive menu. We will be back. Dietary restrictions: Waitress was knowledgeable about menu and was able to tell me what was gluten sensitive or could be prepared that way. It would be nice if that information was on the menu.

Dare I say The Stonehouse is the best restaurant in the UP?! Pretty sure the staff would take on the challenge as this place is consistently fantastic! Plus lots of free parking. You may want a reservation on a busy night. Classic cabin style with dark wood in an elegant space with wonderful and prompt service. The menu has a good variety and it's all delicious. The fish selection is outstanding with fresh catches of the day. Probably the best lobster bisque I've had in Michigan. Be sure not to finish all the soup before the fresh bread shows up. A match made in heaven. They have a nice wine selection really good bar staff. They had a housemaid bourbon maple syrup old fashioned last visit, it was wonderful! Serious props to the chefs as it's perfectly cooked every time. The flavors are complex and well thought out with a nice presentation as well. Keep up the amazing work!
