I enjoy this restaurant as it is a great place for a quick breakfast pickup.

I have only tried their conchas, but they are excellent. They are very light and fluffy, not cheap and dense like store-bought ones. However, my favorite dish is their green tamales. The masa they use is soft and not overly dry like at some other places. My only complaint is that they are a bit stingy with the filling - there is more masa than meat in every tamale. Despite this, they are delicious, conveniently located, and made fresh by small business owners. The restaurant is quite small, so there may be a line out the door at times. However, it is worth it as you can taste and smell the quality of their pastries. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I am giving it 4 stars only because of the lack of meat in the tamales, no matter how tasty the masa is.

The pastries were great. Don't know what they were called. They were log type, flakey, with semi caramelized suger on top. But what was really outstanding was the tamales. They were out of chicken. We had the pork, and rajas con queso. Will definitely be heading back for more?

Please people check the San Diego County Environmental Health and Quality this place has a lot of violations. Last time I went there was a dog next to the bread that was being made ?After reading all their violations never again will I go here.
