Etowah Valley Golf Resort

We played the South 9-hole course on 15 Aug 2023 and it was in rough shape. The greens were decent, although quite slow. The fairways were full of muddy spots and bare dirt spots, and crabgrass grows on parts of the fairways and in the rough. The tee boxes were not well manicured. The cart path is in dire need of repair in many places. On the day we played the course was very wet. Tee shots plugging. The layout is nice and you can still have fun, but if you're expecting pristine conditions this isn't the place.

Asked for a tee time in the afternoon, was told they had none. Used their practice facility for 3 hours in the afternoon and saw 1 group tee off.

Etowah always does a great job hosting charity tournaments.

The actual golfing experience was great and the people were fantastic. We played the South course twice and each of the North and West courses once. Only drawback was that the restaurant menu on the website hadn't been updated and only sandwiches and salads were available for lunch and dinner. We played golf on a day trip. So I don't have an opinion on the rooms or the service for the lodging. But I will say we had a great on the course. Everyone is so nice and cheerful. Especially Jack, who was the starter/ranger for the day. @Jack thank you for your service to our country in the Air Force. You made a day most enjoyable.
