Bj's Brewhouse Valley River - Eugene

We absolutely loved the new menu at this restaurant. I decided to try the monthly special, a delicious pasta dish with shrimp, while my husband stuck to his favorite, the fish and chips. We enjoyed a reasonably priced bottle of wine to complement our meal. This restaurant is our first choice when we don't feel like cooking at home.

We arrived at the restaurant at 7:50 pm for our 8 pm reservation, only to be informed that our reservation was mistakenly booked for 8 am. Despite showing them our confirmation for 8 pm, we were told we would have to wait at least an hour. After waiting for 20 minutes, they eventually seated us at a table. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience and I would not consider returning.

The service is excellent, the food is delicious, but the music is too loud. We go there occasionally and love the wide beer selection on the menu.

The waiter was efficient, pleasant and prompt The food was presented by plopping a steak on a cold plate and throwing some tiny asparagus on the side. The steak was very tough and tasteless . Medium not med rare. The asparagus was doused with so much pepper I almost couldn’t eat it. The bacon for the dry mashed potatoes was undercooked (paid$3 and big chunks instead of “sprinkles”. My friend and I have been going to BJ’s after the hult preferences almost mthly(5 . I think we will find somewhere else to eat.

Besides a 20 minute wait from the time of our reservation, we had a pleasant dinner here. Haley C. was our server and she made us feel very welcomed and checked on us often.
