Írjon visszajelzéstI left Eugene over 20 years ago, but visit yearly. Every time I am in town I insist on visiting Louie's! We come as a family gathering and we are always given top notch service. I love the fried rice and mar far chicken and I wish I could get something like it in Boston. I have traveled a lot and eat a lot of Chinese meals, but Louie's is my very favorite.
The service here is terrible! I always get stuck with this one older waitress, I think she is the owner's sister. She always looks grumpy and like she is mad you are there wanting to eat. She treats you like you are an inconvenience to her day. So you get your food served begrudgingly and she doesn't bother to hide her dismay at having to work. Which ruins the whole meal right there. The owner just stands at the counter and stares at people as they eat. Which makes anyone uncomfortable. And they don't give you enough food to make it worth what you pay. Their egg flower soup is the worst I have ever eaten, it has absolutely no taste and has a water-like consistency. I will never go back, and I have heard this from several other people. Older people have told me it was good when they first started eating there and gradually went down hill to the point it is now, just being flat terrible. I am constantly amazed that they are still in business.
The owners are super friendly and service oriented. The food is the best Chinese food around. I have to recommend the shrimp egg rolls. Everything I have tried here has been served hot and is very appetizing. The have a vegetarian menu also! This is the perfect place for large groups, they are very accommodating.
Dining here in the summer is a delightful experience. There's a charming park-like area where you can stroll and feed the ducks and birds. The food is reliably delicious and served in generous portions. It's a fantastic spot for families!
This restaurant is not clean at all. The bathrooms had a strong smell of urine, the carpets were stained, the ceilings had water and rust stains, and the windows were dirty. My husband and I both ended up sending our food back since we couldn't eat it. My noodles were even discolored at the edges and clearly not fresh. The vegetables lacked flavor and seemed washed out. The prices are high for the portion sizes, and there was no soup or tea included—what's that about? We definitely won't be coming back to this place. Ugh.
