Monterrey - Evans

This restaurant used to be one of my favorite Mexican spots, but lately, the customer service has been disappointing. The staff doesn’t seem to pay attention to the needs of paying customers. We've tried to give them opportunities to improve, but we keep feeling let down. It's really sad that what was once a family favorite is no longer on our list of places to visit.

This Mexican restaurant is fantastic! The service was incredibly quick and very friendly. Our server, Luis Alberto, was excellent! They offer a 20% military discount, which is a nice bonus. The chips and salsa were freshly made and deliciously warm. I ordered the Pork Chili Verde, and my wife had the Chilaquiles Mexicanos. We also got a children's Beef Soft Taco with rice and beans, as well as the kids' cheeseburger and fries. The refried beans were excellent, although the rice was a bit bland, it was well-cooked. The flavors were excellent overall, and the dishes were presented nicely. We had a minimal wait, and the service was prompt. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal!

F I R E serves authentic Mexican cuisine. We tried the carnitas street tacos and the sopa de pollo, and I give them a perfect 10 out of 10! I will definitely go back. The prices are very reasonable — we got two entrees, an appetizer, and drinks for just 20 bucks!

We ate here eight years ago and it wasn't nearly as good as it was last week! The food has improved so much I have to assume there is different management. The atmosphere is always buzzing and busy, but not too loud or overcrowded. We often show up witha party of twenty or so for a reservation on Friday nights and even on the busiest nights, they are able to seat us right away.My husband loves their margaritas and they are very affordable for the size you get. All in all, this is a great restaurant fora family night, a date, or a gathering.

This place is a family favorite. However, disappointing to some of us in the family. Flavors tend to be bland and the service can be rude at times. I.e. I ordered something and it did not come out as I ordered, that seemed a big deal, when I sent itback. Coming from Arizona where Mexican food is a staple...this needs work. Also no bar tender when we were there so that meantno margarita. Chips lack salt Their soup is good.
