Coffee Lab Evanston The Study Spot

Coffee Lab became a staple of mine as a student in fall 2019, then quite literally a part of my home when I moved into the building for the ‘21-‘22 school year. I have lost count how many times my friends and I have sent texts to each other just saying “Lab?” over the past 3 years. Service has always been exceptional, and if you go in enough you (and your drink! will be remembered by the staff. It’s a great study or socializing spot, and really a centerpiece of my time living here. Ube latte! Amaretto is my favorite latte flavor and this Ube latte reminds me of that. It’s a little different but has that sweet warm nutty flavor that’s so delightful and has become another favorite.

Looked like a nice place to drop in…HORRIBLE cup of drip coffee….weak …watered down and overpriced. Nice atmosphere…but HORRIBLE coffee!

Sometimes hard to find a seat but the coffee is worth it! Also grab a Filipino pastry because you won’t be disappointed!

A cafe with sone asian american infleunces. Menu is slightly hard to read to find the more unique stuff, but do ask because they have some items that are harder to find. Tried their ube latte and man it is an instant favorite. I never understand before why it is so popular to add to dessert in Filipino cuisine until I try their latte. Had their ube bun as well. It was delicious. The place was crowded on a Sunday. But they have outdoor seating on the store front, and across the street under a giant tree. Right next to the train station and a parking lot. But most people that comes here are college student from North western.
