Poke River - Evansville

Food was not good at all in my opinion. Definitely had better

For those who don 't know, poke (pronounced poh-keh is a Hawaiian-Chinese style of food involving sashimi (sushi-type raw fish layered with other foods in a rice or greens bowl with sauces.This stuff is fantastic. Much less prissy than sushi, but with everything refreshing you love about it.They also have sushi burritos which is basically everything in a poke bowl except it 's wrapped inside nori. And they have ramen! Real authentic ramen with pork belly! We are so lucky to have that in Evansville.The owners are neat people who run the place themselves. It 's always somewhat busy, but not terribly so.

I'm happy I decided to visit this restaurant with my friends. We all decided to try it out and we were pleasantly surprised. My friend and I ordered the Hawaiian bowl while my other friend got the Volcano bowl. They were both delicious and made fresh. If you enjoy this type of cuisine, be sure to stop by!

Place is amazing! Idiots like Max and Edward obviously never tried Asian cuisine before. Place had great portions for price unlike other places, although there’s a line at times. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
