Írjon visszajelzéstThe food is only occasionally enjoyable, and while the staff are friendly, they often seem more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers. The prices are quite high for what you get. I noticed that the cooks do not wear proper masks, and I could hear them coughing in the kitchen. During a recent visit to pick up takeout, the entrance to the restaurant had a strong, unpleasant odor reminiscent of a bathroom. While waiting for my food, I had to fight off nausea due to the overpowering smell. By the time my order was ready, I had completely lost my appetite and was struggling to keep from being sick. I was relieved to step outside and get some fresh air. This restaurant caters to an older crowd that doesn’t mind paying a premium for mediocre food, all while enjoying a 1960s-themed atmosphere. However, it’s not a good option for anyone looking for a budget-friendly meal. On another occasion, I ordered fried mushrooms for takeout, and the woman on the phone laughed as if my request was absurd. When I picked up my order, I was shocked to find they had simply given me regular chopped mushrooms, like those used as a burger topping, instead of the fried version I had requested. It felt like a joke, and I ended up spending over $20 for this disappointing experience.
Smelled like sewage in the restaurant. The bathrooms should be closed due to the smell being so strong. My eggs, sausage and waffle were cold. The server didn’t even check back with us until dropping the check. And it was on the more spendy side for breakfast. Don’t waste your money here.
My partner's burger was overcooked, with the only juicy element being the mushrooms. My chicken fried steak was good, but the mashed potatoes were so bland that even pepper couldn't entice me to take more than a few bites. My order included steamed cauliflower, but I was served the very end piece with just a couple of florets attached (see picture). My partner dislikes pickles, so he gave his to me, but unfortunately, my pickle had a chewy skin—definitely not appetizing. His fries were undercooked, and the bacon on his burger was burnt. We chose not to say anything or send anything back; we simply ate what we could handle, paid, and left. I’ve proudly recommended this place for 16 years, and it's disheartening to see that it no longer lives up to that reputation.
I have been coming to this diner for 3 years and for about the first 1 1/2-2 yrs the service and food was fantastic! I would always get the eggs Benedict or omelette and they were both great. The cook would often come into the dining area and walk around an ask how the food was an I loved that and never had complaints. Recently I’ve started coming here and the service is horrible! I get seated quickly but it takes 10 minutes for the server to deliver waters . And then she takes orders right away. My partner ordered a taco salad once and it took 25 minutes because the servers sat there talking instead of bringing us our food. But it is not food that should be sold. The holadaise sauce was horrible! And I get eggs Benedict all the time I KNOW what it should taste like, also my partner got sourdough toast and it was so dry! And barely any butter. Not once did the server come by and ask how the food was (I’m sure it’s because she knows it’s awful) I would probably come here every Sunday for brunch and since the food has been not good I’ve came about every couple months and every time I think it was a waste of money..
Horrible customer service!!! We were a party 12, 3 adults and 9 children. A Mexican woman who was short of height, dark colored hair had a hair clip and a thick accent was very rude and unfriendly. She looked very irritated to see all of use. We asked if we could use two Booths instead of waiting for the large table. This place was empty so I know it could be done without violating any Covid restrictions. This women started complaining to all the other waitresses, what this woman didn’t realize is I know Spanish and I understand every disrespectful word she used. Finally a man tells this woman where would we be seated and in a very rude and irritated tone she said 6 on that side 6 on the other side , She tried to separate us and again most of the individuals in our group were children, I would not have any visual sight of my children. I know this was done intentionally. I approached another waiter and let him know I would be taking my family to another diner to eat breakfast because of the horrible customer service and such disrespect. I saw this diner on google and it looked nice so I wanted to take my family to try a new place, worst mistake of my life. We had a HORRIBLE first experience and will definitely not try this place again.
