Bernies Delicatessen Gourmet Market

I was visiting Fairfax to attend a funeral for my dear Aunt Mable. Parking was scarce to say the least, however Bernie graciously allowed us to park on his lot. I was so grateful that I had to personally thank this man and patron his establishment. Bernie was the first face I saw upon entering. He greeted me right away. The atmosphere and staff were most welcoming. I ordered the Little Italy (fresh mozzarella, tomato, pesto on sub roll) to go. It was a lightly toasted marriage of pure deliciousness! If you're in the Fairfax area you must check them out! They have a wide variety of amazing delicatessen sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts, etc. Two thumbs, waaay up! Thank you Bernie!

Thank you guys for going above and beyond for me and my daughter tonight. You have no idea how happy you made a little girl going through so much. It is truly the little things in life that make a difference and you certainly did for her tonight. You made a very tough evening a little better for her. Thank you again! The best sandwich in town with the most caring customer service.

High quality subs and a huge selection. The bread tastes freshly made and the meat is hand sliced. Would definitely recommend if you want something better than your normal sub shop. They also have a great selection of home made oils and an interesting selection of beers. Definitely one of the Fairfax specialty shops.

We happened upon this amazing deli on our way through town. We ordered a pastrami, fried egg sandwich with provolone on rye and a egg salad with pastrami on rye... delicious and perfectly warm and toasted just right! Then we took some desserts home with us.. the deli brings in NY Style Cheesecake that is the best ! Also we got the lemon cello cake that was lemony, not to sweet, and delicate...Love this place and hope to be back in Fairfax some day to have more!!!

I have always loved Bernie's. Perfect for a quick Saturday lunch every time, I get the pulled pork sandwich with ginger ale and pickle chips. So satisfying. They also have such a wide variety in chip selection! If you still have room for dessert, the red velvet whoopie pie is a good choice.
