Crazy Crab - Fairfax

I really enjoyed my dining experience here. The price is $60 per person, and everyone at the table needs to order, which was fine since there were only two of us. The service was quick, and our server consistently checked in to see if we wanted to place more orders, ensuring our food was fresh and hot throughout the meal. The crab legs were of amazing quality—easy to crack open and not at all soggy. We opted for the Crazy Crab combo with a spicy level of hot, and it was just right. I also ordered a Mai Tai, and our server warned me that it was very sweet. I appreciated the customization when I requested less sweetness. While it was a strong drink, it was still a bit too sweet for my taste, so I might try something different next time. Overall, I definitely plan to return!

You can order up to three appetizers and three seafood boils per round, which might not be ideal for larger groups since it applies to the entire table. My recommendation is to try the Cajun garlic butter seasoning—it was incredibly flavorful!

The floors were incredibly slippery—at one point, we literally slid around the restaurant! Our waiter was friendly, but the service was frustratingly slow; it took him ages to return to our table. We only had two pans of food to share between us. We ordered a head of garlic, some chicken skin, and blue crab. I learned that the entire table must order from the same menu, with three options for each cooking round and three options for the starters as well. The sauce on the crab legs was good yet overly salty, while the corn and potatoes in the boil were just average. The sausages were dry and overcooked. I genuinely believe that the quality of food can vary depending on when you arrive at a restaurant. Unfortunately, the crab legs weren’t as easy to crack open as I expected, making accessing the meat a hassle. Our second round included crab legs and mussels, but it felt overwhelming. Although the sauce was good, it was still very salty. While they do offer refills on everything, they don't make it clear that you can ask for them. We won’t be returning. Our total bill came to $131, and I left a tip of $27. Overall, it was just okay, but not worth the experience.
