Ponte's Diner - Fairfield

This restaurant is the perfect spot to grab a meal while traveling from Dallas to Houston. The food and service are excellent.

The food at this restaurant is hot, fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The patty melt was exactly what you would expect, with a perfect patty, crispy sourdough bread, and Swiss cheese on both sides. The grilled jalapenos were also tasty, and I recommend adding a side of their horseradish sauce. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, hand-dipped, and made to order. I wish they had a garlic aioli sauce to go with them. The coke float and coffee shake were both good. Our server was very friendly and even gave us an extra cup of soda. We also tried the enchiladas and tacos, which were a big hit with the group. Overall, I recommend giving this local restaurant a try to support small businesses.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Although we didn't actually try any dishes, we were definitely impressed by what we saw.
