Mr Gene's Beans - Fairhope

This is a Fairhope tradition. The service was fun, engaging, enthusiastic, and just perfect. Kids are treated with genuine love. The decor is frenzied with plenty of signs to inform you of the many goodies available. Street side parking only. Love this place.

We did not have a good experience here. For starters an ice cream shop caters to families with children, yet there are a whole lot of stairs you have to ascend in order to get inside. How can they not have a ramp for strollers when that’s your target audience? Next the manager was subtly rude and passive aggressive towards us. And we’re a family with a special needs child which felt discriminatory. There were a grand total of 3 customers there during our visit. When you’re hurting for customers at least treat the ones you got kindly. That would be management 101 dummy! The life cream was just okay.
