Kobe's Japanese Cuisine - Fargo

We celebrated a birthday here and, as always, the food was fantastic. However, I have some concerns about cleanliness. Upon entering the restaurant, the enclosed shelves adorned with Japanese decor are the first thing you notice, but unfortunately, they are covered in dust. We were the first guests to use our grill that day, and it was disappointing to see leftover food from the previous night along the side of it (see picture). I’ve also had a negative experience with the women’s restroom, which not only needs a thorough cleaning but could really use a fresh coat of paint and some updates. When the restrooms are unclean, it raises concerns about the state of the kitchen. Despite these issues, the outstanding food is the main reason we keep coming back.

The service left much to be desired. It took a long time for a server to approach our table after we were seated, and the drink and food orders were very slow to arrive. Our server also didn’t check on us frequently. As for the food, it was decent—neither outstanding nor terrible. Additionally, our server forgot to apply the half-off sake special to our bill, so be sure to double-check your receipt if you’re taking advantage of any of their weekly specials.

Wow, I had an incredible time with friends at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back!

I love going to Kobe's for lunch! Sushi is always half price for dine in which means I order everything! Great food, service, and a great price, kobe's is always a stop while we're in town ????

Sashimi and rolls were great. Portions were good. There is a lot to choose from so I will definitely need to go back so I can try some other things. The salmon, red snapper, and white tuna were very good quality.
