My new favorite halal spot. Abdul is the man! Combo gyro done to perfection, white sauce and hot sauce are no joke! The only joke here is the price!!! He is handing food out people!!! Get it before he runs out! Can?t wait to go back.
The best halal food in Long Island, without a doubt! They had already closed when we arrived, but they still went out of their way to serve us.
1. **Quality and Taste:** The food here is outstanding. Abdul cooked my chicken and lamb combo over rice fresh when I ordered it, rather than serving from a hot tray. This makes a significant difference compared to other places that cook in bulk and let it sit. I understand larger operations can't always cook to order, but that's their loss because Primo can, and it shows. The salad and tomatoes were fresh as well. The white sauce was delicious, and the hot sauce had a nice kick—though it was milder than Halal Boys' version, which I find a bit too spicy for my taste. 2. **Affordability:** Seriously, $7 for a chicken and lamb combo over rice with salad, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers is a fantastic deal. The portion size is generous and packed with protein! 3. **Friendliness:** Abdul was working when I ordered, and he was incredibly friendly and welcoming to me as a new customer. He asked if I had tried his food before, and when I said no, he offered me a taste of the freshly cooked chicken and lamb before I added any sauce. He also shared his unique recipes and what sets his food apart, as well as information about his other locations. Overall, I highly recommend Primo. Don’t let the food truck setting deter you—give it a try! I’m definitely planning to go back tonight!
The food was excellent, and the staff engaged with customers while they waited.
