Black Bear Diner - Fayetteville

Went in for breakfast, got sat quickly and everyone was friendly when we walked in. Our server was Leah and she was there immediately to offer fun drinks, and then back to offer great food, We got the Chicken Fried Steak and chicken and waffles. Food came hot and fast and giant portions. Will be back!Parking: Good parking close to restaurant!

Over the year this place has improved, my husband and I have always gotten excellent service by all of the servers that we have had over the year.Always expect big portions so never expect to go hungry when visiting here, so doggie bag is a must. If you plan on stopping by here during the weekend expect a long wait, that has never been an issue with us due to the fact that we are patience people and will go out to the stores near by to kill time, but if you are in a hurry then there are plenty of fast food restaurants that you can visit near by.

The overall atmosphere and decor of the restaurant has a cozy woodsy feel, and it was a perfect pairing for the breakfast myself and a ton of friends shared.Portions are very generous, prices are more affordable than anywhere else I've been in years, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.I ordered the Mini Volcano, and it was fantastic! Everything was a good texture and flavor with many parts of it being customizable for personal preferences. Between myself and my friends, we had a good sampling of the menu's variety, and other than a slightly undercooked biscuit (which was honestly understandable because they're HUGE), everything was beyond our expectations.I look forward to coming back and trying more of their southern comfort-style foods!!Kid-friendliness: They had children's menus ready as soon as we were seated and a decent variety for children's breakfast.Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps to access seating for most, if not all, of the restaurant, so if you or someone else needs accessibility accomodations, you can sit nearly anywhere.

It's okay. We've eaten at several locations, but this one has been our least favorite. The food was okay: came out quickly, but they were out of several things we tried to order. My pancakes were good, but the bacon was burnt, and the scrambled eggs were rubbery and had this weird crust to them. My daughters loved their food (burger and fries, grilled cheese and fries), and my husband said his food (meatloaf) was just okay: he said it was cold and the gravy was congealed. The prices were too high for the caliber of food. Our waitress was cheerful and personable but not very attentive; wrong refills were brought, and we only got them if we asked. We will definitely give the chain our business but probably won't be back to this location.

Cute Lil breakfast spot! I don't require a lot in a breakfast place. Service was pleasant...kitchen was a bit slow getting the order out. Food and coffee were tasty but I did not really like the hashbrowns. They were cut into thick strips and didn't taste the best to me. French toast,eggs, and bacon were all cooked well. I would make a return visit when in town again. They have a lot on the menu so I would like to try a couple of different things.
