Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

My first time eating here and eating was amazing and fresh!!

In general we love this restaurant for few simple reasons: good-home-style food, choice of dinner and breakfast dishes and good service. On the top of that there are many fun items for gifts and pleasant treats for yourself. This particular time wasn't as usual as far as choice of drinks (they got rid of all time favorite apple cider, no raspberry lemonade etc. , They didn't have straws and cup lids which wasn't easy to handle for kids. But good tasted good as usual and service was good. Also we like board games outside and in to play with kids. At winter they have fire running which makes it feel nice and cozy

We eat there once a year when traveling through St Louis. The food and service are always good. The most recent visit my wife had the chicken and dumplings with two side dishes. I had the broccoli cheddar chicken and two side dishes. My wife rated the chicken and dumplings a 5. The broccoli cheddar chicken appears to be new. I will have that dish again. I rate it 5. Our server Katherine F was excellent. Bright personality and was attentive.

A nice evening of real home cooking with an attached gift shop. Great atmosphere, and the food was heart-warming. Sit on the swings on the front porch before you leave!

SO GOOD! Fish Fridays are the best! Not only is their country food just amazing, but I absolutely love shopping in the little country store after eat. You can buy all sorts of unique gifts at Cracker Barrel. I also collect postcards, and I got quite a few postcards to add to my collection, including a magnet to add to my magnet collection. They have beautiful cards, lots of old fashioned toys, and I even started shopping for Christmas while there. There's a fireplace inside the restaurant area, and old fashioned country memorabilia on the wall, that doesn't give it a chain-store feeling, rather a homey unique feeling.
