Fleig's Cafe - Ferdinand

Bar food, cheap drinks, friendly hometown service I've been a few times when I've been in the area and it never disappoints.

Frozen onion rings and what I would presume were boxed patty hamburgers.

This was our first time hereWe sat down and were immediately greeted by the hostHe said we arrived just in time for the lunch special.

Was back in Southern Indiana for a wedding and needed a dinner. Stopped by Fleig's and got some chicken teeth and German pommes. And these German Pommes! Reminiscent of home cooking, delicate potatoes and onions fried to perfection. The chicken teeth seemed to be baked and were juicy inside. A little too heavy on bread for me, but most people would enjoy it in this way. If we're back in Ferdinand, I order her roasted chicken, should be pretty good.

Pleasant surprise! Menu was limited for lunch because the dining room is closed but there is seating at tables in the bar. The breaded chicken was excellent and my aunt was very impressed with the steak burger.
