What and incredible experience, such a peaceful place with impressive eating. I had an open buffet for lunch and was blown away. each plate is perfectly prepared, perfectly balanced. only two options were meat, the rest was completely vegetarian and about 70% was vegan (sometimes use milk and eggs). I came in the early year, so I can only imagine how perfect this would be in the summer.

I was a little involuntary to come here because they had so many bad reviews lately. So I was pleasantly surprised. we recommend to park next to the joker as there are no parking spaces on the road outside the villa malla. only buffet. lunch is from 12:00 to 15:00 and dinner from 16:00 to 20:00. we arrived at 12:20 clock, parked joker next to us and maybe went 500m to villa malla. there was a waiting queue and it took about 15 minutes before we could order and pay drinks. they take Covid-19 seriously, but many of the guests fight with the concept of social distancing. the foods are predominantly North African/Eastern Mediterranean countries. some of the more appreciated could have been wrong for italia. the lunch was a selection of salad and cold dressed as well as above. my only criticism was that it was too dry, everything else was delicious. I am not sure if they have child prices, we had two 12 yos with us and the price was the same as for adult, 295kr per head. after lunch we lay on the jetty while the children enjoyed the water. we will definitely return.

The buffet is way to expensive for what it has to offer AND they charge 30 nok for tap water in a country where water is free. The scenery is very beautiful though.

The place is lovely, but the restaurant is overprized and the staff was not very welcoming either. It was impossible to find out the prize of the buffet on website or when we arrived, so this was an unpleasant surprise when we sat down to eat. A family of 4 people paid over NOK 2.200, for buffet with limited selection of meat (last 1,5 hours before they closed), 3 coca cola and a bottle of spring water. One of our children is 12 years old, so we had to pay adult prize for the food even though he probably eats 1/4 of his father... We were looking forward to go there as a family on a special occation, but will never eat there again unless they change prizes, menu and attitude of the staff. Disappointing, I am afraid.
