Osteria De' Peccatori - Firenze

We had spent the entire morning soaking up the glory that is the Uffizi, and exiting we decided to search for a luncheon spot a couple of blocks north of the gallery rather than eat at one of the (very crowded) places that are right there when you exit. I was thirsty, so I opted for a couple of beers. I was also feeling unadventurous gastronomically speaking, so I opted for a simple plate of spaghetti al pomodoro. And it was simply delicious. We sat outside, which I absolutely recommend (not that the interior is shabby, just that the restaurant is nicely situated on the northern side of the small Piazza di San Firenze and has great people watching. The service was not what I'd call stellar, but was certainly more than acceptable.

I. Had a fantastic arrabbiata pasta here, large and hit the spot! With the house wine, which was superb. My husband had the chicken salad, it was huge and he said delicious!
