Star Sushi And Thai - Fishers

Fantastic sushi and friendly staff! They made my baby feel special on her 17th birthday.

I love this place!! I was so nervous to get too excited when they first opened because it was right in the middle of the pandemic and I was afraid they weren't going to survive. But, I think I can finally get really excited because this place is a STAR! Pun intended! Ha! It is owned by a really sweet family and the food is totally legit!! Their Boba tea is awesome (boba is super tender and cooked just right). They really take pride in all their sushi creations. Their curries are yummy. The coconut milk soup is definitely one of my favorites they use real mushrooms unlike some others around that use the paper thin dehydrated versions or whatever it is they use. The owners' hearts for service have to be one of the reasons this place was able to open and has thrived in such a hard time for our restaurant industry. Just a couple examples from my own experience...One time last summer, I came up to the door of the restaurant and realized they were closed. The wife happened to be in the store and saw me. She ran out and told me to come on in and still made me a boba tea even though they were closed The second example is from tonight. Our family has the sickness that seems to be going around (not Covid). My daughter and I really wanted sushi. She has just gotten into it and likes when fruit is incorporated. I placed a DoorDash order with multiple special instructions including a request to add mango to the avocado roll and to make sure my roll was gluten free. When it arrived, the rolls were perfect, the soup was HOT, and they left a sweet note on the box (shown in the picture) letting me know the soy sauce was gluten free. It's the little things that mean big things to me!! So, do I recommend this place? 100%!!

We love Star Sushi Thai!! The food is always excellent and delicious. The menu is rather larger with plenty of options Thai, sushi, Chinese and fried rice to name a few. It's a small restaurant and most people do carry outs, so it's not usually busy inside but every time I've eaten in, there's at least 10 to go orders placed. We highly recommend the spring rolls and crab Rangoon's. We've learned a lot about types of sushi and they carry soy paper for sushi if requested!

We have been to this restaurant a few times in the past. We liked food and service. So we went there today again, but we were disappointed with the slowness of service and food was not of the same quality. I had asked the dish to be hot(spice wise), but it was not hot at all. We had also ordered spring rolls as appetizers. Rolls usually come with sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts, but today we got with what looked like peanut butter with sweet and sour sauce. Service was also very slow despite we were the only guests in the restaurant.

Fantastic Thai restaurant! Everything we’ve had is great. Its been one of our favorite places since we tried it for the first time a couple months ago. Cashew Nut Chicken is my top pick.
