Great ambience!!! As soon as you walk in you see a cozy lit fireplace! Gives the vibe of a cozy cabin in Tennessee! The front of the house staff is extremely nice. Shelby our waitress was so nice and explained everything! The food was great and portion sizes were big! TVs everywhere was a plus! And the restaurant is very spacious. I've been to Big Bear Lodge many times and it is consistently a good experience (which is why I keep going back! . I like their entree salads that are filling while still being (somewhat healthy. They have specialities that are always available and always great (like their Minute Chicken as well as seasonal menus that offer some variety throughout the year. It's also one of the few places around where you can get a good bison burger. The menu is extensive so there is something for everyone. The lodge-themed decor is a fun and adds a lot of interest to the atmosphere. It's a great place to take out of town guests or for date night with your main squeeze. And there is plenty of parking, even on busy nights.

I adore everything about this restaurant. The decor and interior is so cozy! I’ve tried multiple different menu items here, and I have never been disappointed with my meal. Particularly, the ribs are delicious, and the margarita pizza is seriously so good. They also make delicious drinks at the bar, and have some really fun camping-themed drinks, as well as Sangria that is delicious. I also love that they are constantly rotating new items to the menu. Really, this is a hidden gem in Downriver. Some items are a bit pricey, and I will admit that sometimes the kitchen is a bit slow, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Sit back, enjoy a nice campfire drink, and enjoy the great atmosphere at this restaurant.
