Big John Steak Onion - Flint

My sandwich was a bit too salty, but the staff was fantastic and friendly. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

Awful experience. Most of my sub ended up in the trash. The bread was soggy and fell apart completely. I ate at the restaurant, and this happened immediately after I opened it. Totally a waste of $7.35. I won’t be returning. Total disappointment. Food rating: 1/5.

For a quick lunch, you can't go wrong with Big John's. It's a well-known spot in Flint that offers good food at reasonable prices. To truly enjoy the experience, don't skip the signature spicy/sweet BBQ sauce and sliced pepperoncini, as they really elevate the flavor of the subs; otherwise, they might taste a bit bland. Food rating: 4/5.

This used to be one of my favorite guilty pleasures, but things have changed. They've switched the bread, altered the way they season the meat, and the service was disappointing. I hope this is just an issue with this particular location. Food rating: 2/5.

I've only visited this location, so I can't compare it to others, but I am generally satisfied with the food here. The building could use some renovations, but it fits in with the other businesses along Dort Highway. However, I did notice on my last visit that the sandwiches don't feel as worth the price anymore. They are still tasty, but everything seems to be getting quite expensive.
