Shane's Rib Shack - Florence

At first I didn't want to try Shane for the bad press I heard/read, but one of my good friends said he loved it, so we went to lunch. Their BBQ (Pullover pork) and grilled offers are both fantastic, I love their sauce and sweet potatoes too. They prevented me from putting Honey Mustard on her. I was probably a dozen times since this first visit and I had no problems complaining. Waiting time is what I would expect for better quality food. It doesn't feel like a fast food joint rushed, but I would recommend it for lunch.

My husband and I have been to Shane's on several different occasions and we always, always ALWAYS LOVE the food. This time was no exception! Service was decent, and the food was very, very good. Our only complaint is that the table was sticky, like if it hadn't been cleaned properly. All in all, a great restaurant. Try the Big Dad sandwich, its delicious.

My mother and I went to Shane's a few weeks ago. She really wanted to taste the food after I told her how good it was. So, we went there and the food was wonderful. We ordered the half Alan of ribs and half chicken. So good. But we ended up ordering also the peach cobbler. That's the only thing I was disappointed about. It was mainly peaches and liquid sugar. Still give it 5stars. The customer service was really good as well. The only thing I would say is, change the peach cobbler recipe.

These ribs beat out Holt Bros, Cains, and Roger's. Moist, meaty, and flavorful. I had the fried okra and mac and cheese, which to my taste needed salt. The only problem was all (yes I checked...the ones at the back were not sticky) the tables at the front of the restaurant were so sticky, it was like someone had rubbed them down with syrup

Been a long time favorite when in Florence, the Spicy BBQ sauce is great on pork or chicken, love the potato salad as well. Last couple trips there the cleanliness has been subpar and the food prep has been off. Time to do better job cleaning and better care of good presentation.
