La Villa Del Chef - Flores

It has beautiful sunsets, food is not spectacular.

I found La Villa del Chef on Happy Cow plus our guide had recommended it as an excellent food option. As a vegan, not many options as found out felafel Burger had egg in it and bung was not vegan so went for option two- the veggie, rice and red beans burrito, which was huge and very filling. There were pasta options, although with Parmesan cheese in the pesto not sure how vegan option would taste. I loved the Burrito and if she had a few more vegan options would have given them four stars. Enjoy a fabulous, fresh Mojito while Happy Hour for 15 Quetzals as a sidenote!

The waiter said the Burgerbrot and the Kichererbburger were made with eggs. He only recommended the salad as a vegan food, so I gave up finding another restaurant. Get out!

I loved this place. Was personally greeted by the owner and sat on the terrace above the lake. I had the burrito filled with cheese so be sure you are vegan when you order to avoid that. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
