We were one of those tourist couples who saw the big reviews and needed a bite to eat, but not to see at the door that Dixie served 3 days a week. Well, that didn't stop us from harassing the Northern ones, and we went on Saturday afternoon when they didn't serve. Dixie was incredibly gracious and after chatting she prepared an impressive and tasty set of chicken salad sandwiches and pimento cheese apps on the side. Three times filled my sweet tea. Holy cow. We didn't feel so bad when another illiterate couple came in behind us and got the similar treatment. Look at the place ideal when the sign says and serves food. You're the most beautiful. (Next time I come back, I bring checked baggage so I can store on the tasty-looking spreads and honeys, but there's a ton of other things in this lovely store.
This place is really adorable!! Very nice people definitely make you feel welcome and trust me today's outfit that I stick like a sad thumb, and they were super nice to me. You have cute things about city history and railway / trains it is finally a train city. GREAT FAIR prices for food, which by the way taste great!!! Besides, they're not wasting people. The take-out box is also of great quality and robust and environmentally friendly!! Stop by or give them a call they have specials!!!
Love the atmosphere, the friendly staff and owners are so welcoming. Food is freshly made, unique and always delicious.
We came to folkston for the weekend so her son could see a lot of trains. An added benefit is discovering places like this. The owner, Dixie, epitomizes southern hospitality. Our sandwiches were delicious and the shrimp gumbo was the best I've ever had. This is a must for anyone visiting the area.
Absolutely superb chicken salad sandwich. I had one of their hot macadamia nut cookies just out of the oven. That cookie alone was with stopping in. This is a quaint little eatery and we'll worth the money spent for a great lunch.
