Kings Arms - Forest of Dean

I needed somewhere to wait as my car broke down on the road a couple of metres away. The team were very kind and gave me a free mug of tea whilst I waited. I was quite panicked by the whole situation as my front wheel was coming off the car and they helped me stay calm whilst I waited for the RAC. They didn’t need to do any of this but it was massively appreciated. The tea was also lovely and much needed. Thank you

We were a family of 6 and were very pleased with the main menu options plus specials board. We each thought there was several options we would have tried. We each had something different and no one was disappointed with their meal choice. Plenty of food and for a very reasonable price. There were clean plates all round at the end. Some of us also had desserts which were also well enjoyed. The service was excellent! The staff were attentive without being overbearing. There were many tables and a group in that night for dinner so it was very well managed. We will be returning for another meal in the near future.

Wayne Child and his team serve up delicious home-cooked food at great prices in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The only downside is that the portions are so generous, I often end up taking leftovers home for a second meal the next day, essentially getting two meals for the price of one. The menu offers a wide variety of options and the staff are happy to mix and match dishes.

This place was shockingly bad. The service was the only good part whilst the dinner was absolutely unacceptable. The pub itself is very much atrocious and the music is so terrible it made my mum almost throw up from the racist lyrics we could hear blasting from the back area. Talking about cleanliness it was a pig style mud on the floor, stains on the glasses and cutlery and the plates were beyond filthy. Worst of all is the way the owner treats waiting staff as their bright smiles turns into a spread of depression. The new staff should not have their jobs as a teenager named Maddie dropped a pie of the day plate on my finger causing it to get second degree burn which your business should be happy I never reported. I advice everyone never to go there and to cancel all future reservations as the restaurant is overpriced and had bad manners towards people who work there.

We found this pub whilst staying nearby and all I can say is wow !! The service from the staff was amazing and having looked through the extensive menu we wernt disappointed at all. The food was delicious and the portion size huge will definitely be back when in the area
