Le Petit Forges - Forges-les-Eaux

A traditional French midday restaurant with a cheap fixed price menu of quite simple French cuisine. a bit unimaginable, but the greeting was warm and the place was pleasant.

We have eaten here on Saturday night, I understand that Saturday is the only day they are open for dinner. Monday to Friday is only lunch, which is a scandal, as eating on the dinner menu was excellent. they had a small selection of dressed on the menu, but they all sounded tempting and it was easy to choose something. we thought that the portions were large, we had starved to have been on the way for the day, but we still fought for three courses and were glad that we had not decided for the fourth cure that was offered. the service was great, very friendly and efficient. the prices were reasonable. I would definitely return to dinner again (assuming I was in forges on Saturday.)

We thought that the portion sizes were large, we were hungry having been out cycling for the day but we still struggled to finish three courses and were glad we hadn't opted for the fourth course which was on offer.The service was great, very friendly and efficient.Prices were reasonable.
