Shuck N Dive - Fort Lauderdale

If you visit this restaurant twice, you’ll feel right at home. It’s a cozy spot for families, kids, and pets alike. The oysters come fresh from Louisiana and are shucked to order. The Oysters Rockefeller and Bienville make for excellent starters. Pair them with some Abita Beer on tap—Purple Haze and Turbodog are particularly fantastic choices. Be sure to try the burgers, po'boys, and definitely the fried green tomatoes as well.

We started with incredibly fresh oysters on the half shell, paired with an Abita Amber beer that's typically only found in New Orleans. I also tried the blackened steak quesadilla and catfish (which I was relieved to learn was not from China). The highlight of the meal, however, was the shrimp and grits. As someone who's not usually a fan of grits, I was pleasantly surprised; they were creamy and cooked to perfection. The shrimp was served in a rich étouffée sauce and topped with fresh green onions. Honestly, it was the best rendition of grits I've had in my 53 years! Everything is flown in straight from Louisiana, which really makes a difference. I can't recommend this place highly enough if you're looking for authentic Louisiana cuisine. Thank you, Shuck and Dive, for making me feel like I was back in good old Louisiana!

Everything about this place—from the lively, casual vibe to the excellent service and delicious burgers to the dinner entrees—is fantastic. It’s a must-visit and has become my new favorite spot!

After SB tix deal feel through, attended a Super Bowl party here and it was awesome....even outside of the reason why I was there. The blackend and blue cheese oysters were awesome! Wish they served liquor though!

I went for lunch with a group of co workers, we sat at the bar. The service was unfriendly and I felt I was doing them a favor by eating there. The food was comparable to a fast food chain restaurant. Maybe dinner is their forte, but I will likely never know.
