Írjon visszajelzéstThis was our first time dining in at this restaurant and the food was quite enjoyable. However, our second experience was disappointing as we ordered takeout. The Mongolian beef we received was mostly onions with very little beef, and the orange chicken was extremely hard and dry, making it almost inedible. Considering the price of $65.82 for just the main dishes, we expected better quality. The amount of onion left on the plate after eating was also concerning.
This restaurant is a typical dim sum spot that also serves Chinese dishes. The wait for a table was long. The service was good until we had a disagreement. Unfortunately, they do not provide a copy of the dim sum dishes you order. We ordered 15 dishes and received one wrong dish and one missing dish. When we asked about the mistake, the waitress tried to charge us for the item we accidentally ate. Make sure to keep track of what you order! Other than that, the food was okay. The dim sum portions typically have 3-4 items per bowl, but in this case, most dishes had only 3 items and they were small. The famous shrimp and beef dumplings had skins that were sticky and almost dried out, indicating they may have been sitting out for a while. The Korean pancakes were disappointing and had a texture more similar to "nian gao" than the expected dough. Overall, Ginger Bistro might be okay for someone new to dim sum, but I wouldn't visit regularly.
If you order a lot of the dim sum options, you will leave feeling satisfied. The food tasted great every time we visited. It's best to arrive early to avoid the weekend rush. My favorite items from the dim sum menu include eggplant, pork buns, sesame balls, egg tarts, and glutinous rice with chicken in lotus leaf, all enjoyed with chrysanthemum tea. The other main entrees are also good, as I have tried them in the past. My friends and I make a special trip to this restaurant because there is nothing like it in the Naples area.
Ginger Bistro has been a round for a bit now. I don 't even think I was writing reviews the first time we went. I can tell you though, that the first time we went, it was awful. But, they had just started and they only had an idea of what they wanted tobe as a restaurant. After overhearing that the owners changed (a bit ago) we decided to come back and try their food, at thebehest of a friend of course. So we did. Dim Sum! A dish that originated in the Cantonese culture in China has finally made itsway here and in a perfect state. These dumplings actually have 1,000 different types and after coming here, I wish I could trythem all. Soup dumplings to steam buns, wheat dumplings to rice noodle rolls. No Ginger Bistro doesn 't carry them all but whowould? Instead, their selection is a 'top favorites ' type list and I suggest you try them all. (Not all at once though) Theentree Really good! They had some issues because I wanted duck but they didn 't have it. They said we could wait 45 minutes BUTit wasn 't worth it. So we got orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. My wife got a steaming plate of short ribs and we lovedour meals. The cons Single serve drinks. I mean, a can of sprite? Keeping costs low, I get it. If I want a refill, then I 'llhave to buy another one but fountain drinks have been around since forever so switch please! No duck. Though I was lookingforward to it, it wasn 't a big deal. Maybe next time. But I know why your here, it 's not to read this review, but to look at thepictures, haha. So here you go. [EDIT] We had to come back for the duck so as of 1/9, we still like the place. Here are morephotos
