The Anvil - Fort Polk South

I had a great time at the restaurant with a pool. Unfortunately, when I sat at the bar to order a drink, I was ignored. Eventually, I was able to order a beer for $4 a bottle.

The staff at the restaurant were deceptive. After ordering our food, we waited 40 minutes only to discover that our order had been lost. We then waited an additional 30 minutes for subpar food. Despite attending a 1920s themed party, there was no 1920s music playing. Furthermore, our bill contained the orders of other customers. It was clear that the staff was disorganized. On a positive note, the building itself was beautiful.

The restaurant's staff is overwhelmed by the high number of customers, which is a disappointment considering its connection to MWR. It took 2.5 hours to get our food, and the ordering system at the counter takes away from the experience of a well-run bar. It's difficult to enjoy drinks when you're waiting so long for your food, especially on an empty stomach. The pace needs to be faster to increase sales. Don't waste your time or money here, and leaders should take their staff elsewhere. If this is your only option on Fort Polk besides Pizza Hut, my thoughts are with you.

Great place to hang out and watch the PPV UFC fights for $5. Good selection of adult beverages and food. Highly recommend this place to everyone.
